| We
are a non-profit, tax exempt, state and federally licensed
wildlife and animal sanctuary in operation since 1980. The
survival of the sanctuary depends mostly on the hard work
of Krys Moquin and volunteers who keep the "Ark"
afloat. Based near Silt, Colorado, the foundation has been
instrumental in rehabilitating injured wildlife and releasing
them back into the wild whenever possible. |
 |
 |
The
Foundation at this time cares for 35-40 un releasable abused,
injured or abandoned animals.
An
important function of Animals two by two is an educational
program, in which selected animals are taken to schools
and libraries throughout Garfield County. These presentations
are a vital tool in raising public awareness. Seeing the
beauty and reality of these animals close-up is a wonderful
experience for children, youth and adults of the area. The
sanctuary is an excellent resource for area schools. Visitors
to the sanctuary are rarely untouched by the experience. |
| But
the "Ark" needs our help. Animals two by two is
supported by lectures and presentations and Krys works outside
to support the animals. This is a labor of passion and love,
but there are many needs. Food, medicines, clean habitats
and much more.... This is work that has to be done every day.
There is no such thing as taking a day off or going on vacation.
Krys needs our help. |
